Update Interface(s) for Auto Charge/Credit Option

Note the following 2 updates to the AIP interface(s).

  1. Make sure you are running the latest version of the interface prior to using the new Automatic Credit feature - Download the latest interface version

After updating to the most current version of the interface, the box titled Upon discharge, automatically uncharge doses after the discharge date must be checked on the ADT tab of the interface prior to turning the Automatic Credit feature on under the Utility/Options/Order Entry menu of AIP (see lower right side of screen print below).

  1. Effective period of charge interface is now through “yesterday” at 23:59

Previously, our billing interfaces would transmit any charge/credit with a transaction date up to “today” at 23:59.  Therefore, if charges were transmitted soon after generating “fill list” or “batch IV” charges, some scheduled doses might have been charged and transmitted before they were even administered! The latest version transmits charges dated up through 23:59 “yesterday” to prevent this from happening. It is also more compatible with the new billing feature - Auto Charge/Credit.  After the new interface is installed, you may experience a significant one-time drop in charge transaction count; only a small number of charges, and possibly many credits, will be sent the first time charges are transmitted with the new interface. This is usually because most of “yesterday’s” charges were already transmitted (i.e., by the old interface, the day before) whereas “today’s” charges won’t get sent until tomorrow (with the new interface). You have not “lost” any charges, and the apparent volume of transactions should return to a normal range by the next day.
