The  Intraveneous Module (IVM) can check admixture compatibility as a clinical review when the order is placed.  THIS SECTION IS HIDDEN: In addition, multiple orders can be checked for compatibility from the Patient Profile.

Utilities / Options / Clinical Reviews

Check the box for intra-order IV compatability warnings:

 

During Clinical Checks on an order for an IV, the system will check for IV Compatibility.  Any incompatibilities will appear as a clinical review.

THIS SECTION IS HIDDEN: By selecting orders on a patient profile, and right clicking on the last order, choose "IV Compatibility Check" from the menu.  The system will do IV Compatibility checking.  Results are found if clinical studies have been done.  Option to save the compatibility results as a Clinical Review.

Example Clinical Review:

Order includes Amphotericin INJ and Normal Saline.  Clinical Review for Type: IV Incompatibility, Problem: Drug in Solution, Details:
