| Ascend IP New Clinical Modules |
The Drug-Disease Contraindications Module (DDCM) is intended for use as a screening mechanism to detect drug-to-disease contraindications. This module includes clinically relevant and well-documented drug-disease contraindications. Pregnancy and lactation warning information is included in DDCM, with the goal of a greater degree of safety for pregnant and lactating patients. For more information, see the First Databank website. To Enable Drug-Disease Contraindications Checking, go to Utilities / Options / Clinical Reviews Check the box for Drug/Diagnosis Contraindication warnings: Ascend IP will do Drug/Diagnosis Contraindication checking as part of the Clinical Reviews after each order is placed. In addition, if a patient diagnosis is added or changed, the Clinical Review process is run for each active order.
