Rx Number is no longer used for Inpatient Order Types

Rx Number will no longer display next to the patient name at the top of the order entry window.

The Orders "OrderRef" will display instead.  "OrderRef" is a unique identifier.

 

1130 Pricing Rules will be run automatically whenever a new inventory item is created.
1163 CURES - Export Narcotics Reporting 

Allows the user to select the 'Exporting Facility' from a list of available facilities. 

The Exporting facility determines the format of the Narcotics Export file (based on the state in which the Exporting facility is located).

The user also has the opportunity to select any or all of the available facilities from which to export data. 

Additionally, the user can now select from any or all of the available Rx Counters from which to export data.

1174 If default printer no longer available, Ascend will still display the printer name.  This enhancement is for troubleshooting purposes.
1179 MAR Report: The  MAR will sort patients by Patient Care Area/Room/Bed order.  The Utilities / Patient Care Areas screen defines the order that the MAR will sort.  Each Hospital, Area and Room are ranked from top down.
1196 Multi-Facilities: Options:  When creating a new facility, you now have the ability to copy the Utilities / Options from another facility.

Your prompt will say:  Would you like to use an existing facility as the template for this new facility's defaults?

If you click <Yes>, you will be prompted to choose a facility from the list of all facilities (that you have access to).

1197 Sort of the order profile should be persistent
1204 IV Label Batch: Connect automatically to batch times

Ascend will match on a scheduled job named "Batch IV Labels" on the Batch IV Labels screen. If the job exists, it should automatically select the job when in Batch IV Mode.  More Info...

1217 Clinical Interventions Tab  - Display now has Reference to Order.  The new column Rx/Order was added to the display.

1235 Simplify Applying a Credit to Scheduled Dose 
1236 Menu item/Tool Bar shortcut to Charge/Credit has been added.

There is a new Tool Bar icon, the +/- symbol, there is also a new menu item.

1238 Inventory: Create User Friendly Method for Calculating FDB Billing Units

There is now a button next to the FDB Billing Units that brings up the Inventory Units Calculator.

Enter the Strength or Per of one unit strength.  The Units Multiplier will be calculated automatically.

In this example, one unit would be 5 ml, so type a 5 in the 1 Unit Per field

The calculation is carried out.  Click OK, the FDB Billing Units are filled in.

1104 Inventory Options: Required Fields Not Working.  The system was saving without prompting to enter required fields.  This has been fixed.
1107 Other medications is not always reporting drug-drug interactions - has been fixed.
1148 Order Screen, banner should say Description, not Dose Qty.  This has been fixed.  Depending upon the Item View, the banner says either Dose Description, Inventory Description, or Order Description.

1156 Add Diagnosis - nothing coming up in the list - has been fixed.
1172 Print order forms uses report from Custom folder and not Orders folder
1194 Order Entry: Charge / Credit now sorts chronologically.
1199 Stop Order Notices Report: Error 5  - has been fixed.
